# Terminating a study generation

In some cases, it may be necessary to stop a Study from [generating](/v1/docs/validating-and-generating-a-study) in order to correct input data, or to adjust Design Rules.

Refer to the steps below to cancel a Solution generation in progress.

2. Under the Actions column, hover over the ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/3db99144-2736-4654-a3ba-1aa2e78ddb2a/Images/Documentation/image(479).png) **ellipsis** corresponding to that study.
3. Select ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/3db99144-2736-4654-a3ba-1aa2e78ddb2a/Images/Documentation/image(480).png) **Terminate Generation** from the dropdown options.

1. In the pop-up dialog box, select **Terminate Generation** to proceed.

  - Or **Cancel** to stop the process.

A collection of user-provided data in an ACP project, from which twelve optimal solutions are generated to evaluate and refine various design scenarios.

Defines a specific configuration of a design rule type, which is applied to its associated Scope

The Raceway layout generated by ACP based on a study’s user-provided data. 12 unique solutions are generated from a study.

The main organizational unit in ACP where user-provided data for studies are imported, stored, and managed, and where routing solutions for the Raceway(s) are generated based on those studies.
