In order for ACP to run the Initialize Project sequence, your Revit model must be connected to a Shared Parameters file. For most organizations, Revit projects are already connected to a Shared Parameters file.
This guide explains how to check and add a Shared Parameters file if one has not already been connected to the Revit Project.
Connect a Shared Parameters file
Navigate to the
Manage tab in Revit.
Select the
Shared Parameters tool from the Settings panel.
In the Edit Shared Parameters window, select
Browse, then navigate to the location of the Shared Parameters file.
Select Open to have the Shared Parameters file linked into Revit.
If you do not have access to an existing Shared Parameter file, you may need to create
a new shared parameters file. Check with your content manager to be sure.
If Read/Write access to the Shared Parameter file is restricted, the Content Manager for your organization may need to be the first to initialize a project. This will ensure the correct Shared Parameters have been written to the shared parameters file. This will continue to be true each time the ACP Add-In is updated, and the project need to be reinitialized.
