Linking a Revit project to an ACP Project

Prev Next

To streamline your workflow and reduce the need to manually select a project each time you launch ACP from the Revit add-in, you can link your active Revit project to a specific ACP Project. Once linked, launching ACP from that Revit project will automatically redirect you to the linked ACP project.

This article covers how to link and unlink an active Revit project to a specific ACP project.

Linking a Revit project

  1. Within the Revit project to be linked, navigate to the Augmenta tab in the ribbon.

  2. Click Launch ACP from the Project panel.

  3. In the ACP window, open the ACP project for linking.

  4. Select the Unlinked toggle to link the ACP project to the active Revit project.

    • Once done, the Unlinked toggle will change to Linked , to show that the ACP project is linked to the active Revit project.

The link only works between the ACP and Revit projects used in this process. If you launch ACP from a different project, it will still open to the Projects list view by default.

Unlinking a Revit project

The link between a Revit project and an ACP project can be removed at any time, restoring the default behavior of the ACP window opening to the Projects list when launched from the Revit add-in.

  1. Within the linked Revit project, navigate to the Augmenta tab in the ribbon.

  2. Click Launch ACP from the Project panel. The linked ACP project will open by default.

  3. Select the Linked toggle to unlink the ACP project to the active Revit project.

    • Once done, the Linked toggle will change to the Unlinked toggle , to show that the ACP project is not linked to any Revit project.
